Cloncurry miner CuDeco has lost chairman David Taylor, who this week tendered his resignation from that role and as a non-executive director with the company.
The Brisbane lawyer was appointed as interim chairman in July last year when CuDeco founder Wayne McCrae resigned to appease the company’s three key Chinese-based investors.
Mr Taylor’s resignation letter cited business commitments as being behind his exit.
Mr Taylor addressed CuDeco’s AGM last month, when he told shareholders pre-commissioning activities at the Rocklands copper mine, west of Cloncurry, were well advanced.
“By early 2016 we anticipate successful commissioning of the Rocklands process plant and our first large-scale commercial shipments of concentrate,” he said.
